Jacqueline Damico was raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and began her ballet training at the age of six at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Marcia Dale Weary.  She later moved to New York City to train with The School of American Ballet for two years. Damico also attended summer intensives on scholarship with Miami City Ballet, Chautauqua Ballet and Stiefel and Stars, among others. Following her graduation she received a contract to dance with Oregon Ballet Theater for their 2007-2008 season. Since joining Cincinnati Ballet in 2008, Damico has danced featured roles in ballets such as Victoria Morgan's The Nutcracker (Sugarplum Fairy), Cinderella (Spring Fairy) and Romeo and Juliet (Troubadour), Val Caniparoli's Capri, George Balanchine's Theme and Variation (Demi soloist) and Symphony in C (3rd movement Demi soloist), Adam Hougland's Mozart's Requiem and All my Favorite People, Alejandro Cerrudo's Extremely Close, and Yuri Possokhov's Classical Symphony (soloist).

Fun
Fact: Jackie has grown to love the city she now calls home, Cincinnati, and is especially a big Reds fan. She enjoys winding down after a long day at the studio by being in the kitchen cooking and playing with her cat Edie. She writes a blog that you can follow at www.danceroffduty.wordpress.com
