While originally from Oregon, Kathleen grew up and trained in California's Bay Area. She started dancing at Ballet San José, then moved to San Francisco Ballet at the age of ten. She trained there for eight years, including one year in San Francisco Ballet's Trainee Program. While there, Kathleen performed company roles in Helgi Tomasson's The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, and Don Quixote, as well as George Balanchine's Symphony in C and Coppelia. She also had the privilege to travel with the company on tour to Orange County, and with the trainee program to Tokyo. With the school, she performed pieces by George Balanchine, John Neumeier, and Helgi Tomasson, among others. Kathleen's favorite ballet is Romeo and Juliet, and her dream is to play the leading role.
