Originally from New Jersey, Bausinger says she started dancing because she “was the youngest in my family, and everyone in my family grew up dancing. Then it became fun for me, and then I fell in love with it and it became my passion.” Bausinger trained at Lamorinda Ballet Center under Lynn Homeres, Deborah Pitts from Oakland Ballet and Pat Keene of the Royal Ballet. Bausinger also spent six years with the San Francisco Ballet School, coming to Cincinnati Ballet in 2006. “I love that Cincinnati Ballet has become my family,” she says. “I’ve learned, grown and loved through this company, and it’s made me the dancer I am today.”
Fun fact: Danielle is a fan of the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers and San Jose Sharks.
Favorite roles: Myrtha from Giselle, Rose from The Nutcracker, Vivace by Val Caniparoli, Temperament Fairy and Red Riding Hood from The Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, and Lead Sprite from A Midsummer Night's Dream.
