Suzette Boyer Webb

Director of Second Company

Suzette Boyer Webb began her tenure as the Cincinnati Ballet Second Company Manager and Children’s Ballet Mistress in 2011. She is a former Principal Dancer with Cincinnati Ballet. Prior to her return to Cincinnati Ballet, Webb served on the Dance Division faculty at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, where she continues to teach. There, she was the recipient of the University of Cincinnati’s Outstanding Adjunct Teacher of the Year award. She was the first Coordinator of the CCM Preparatory Dance Program and Director of the CCM Summer Dance Institute.

Webb began her early training with Tom Adair and Mme. Seda Sorvillo, a pupil of Mikhail Mordkin, the dance partner of famed ballerina Anna Pavlova. She received scholarships at The School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theater School. As a Principal Dancer with Cincinnati Ballet under the direction of directors David McClain, Frederic Franklin and Ivan Nagy, she danced in repertoire ranging from the classic to modern and performed in works by choreographers Frederic Franklin, Ivan Nagy, George Balanchine, Ruth Page, Peter Anastos, John Butler, Sir Kenneth McMillian, Ben Stevenson, James Truitte and Lestor Horton. She has been an adjudicator for the Cincinnati Overture Awards and The Indianapolis Prelude awards and has appeared in the PBS Productions of Ruth Page’s Alice in Wonderland and Billy Sunday.

Recently Webb participated in various projects, including: Dancers Over 40, a panel honoring the American choreographer Ruth Page, teaching for Joffrey Ballet South, choreographing works on Cincinnati Ballet Second Company for Lumenocity, and staging children’s roles for Victoria Morgan’s Frisch’s Presents The Nutcracker in Cincinnati and Anchorage, AK as well as Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) for Kansas City Ballet.
