The next Billy Elliott studied at Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy (CINCINNATI BALLET)
CINCINNATI--Cincinnati Ballet's Kids' Dance Camp and Children's Division teacher Donna Anderle told a then six-year-old Joseph Harrington that he should pursue a performance career on Broadway.
Joseph took Ms. Donna's advice.
Now 11 years old, Joseph will perform the role of Billy Elliot on Broadway in New York City in the fall.
Joseph got his start at Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy's Kids' Dance Camp in 2005 and 2006, Young Dancer Program in 2008, and then he danced in Main Division in Cincinnati Ballet Academy Level 3 for two seasons, 2008 and 2009.
He performed in Cincinnati Ballet's Frisch's Presents the Nutcracekr in 2005 and in Peter Pan in 2008-09 Season as Michael Darling.
"The Billy Elliot role requires flying. He even has flying experience from Peter Pan!" says Missy Harrington, Joseph's mother. She adds, "It doesn't get much better than this!"
