Christina LaForgia Morse started dancing at the age of 11 in Summerville, South Carolina, under the tutelage of Terry-Ellen Shields. She then spent three years at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where she was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Upon graduating high school from UNCSA, she went on to join the Charlotte Ballet (formerly known as North Carolina Dance Theatre) for three seasons. There she performed numerous soloist roles. Since joining Cincinnati Ballet in 2014 LaForgia has enjoyed the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jennifer Archibald, Amy Seiwert, Victoria Morgan, Septime Webre, Adam Hougland, Trey McIntyre and Edwaard Liang. LaForgia has also spent the last two summers dancing with Heather Maloy’s Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance in Asheville, North Carolina.
