Christian Renforth

Corps de Ballet | Richmond, VA | Joined Cincinnati Ballet in 2017

Christian Renforth trained with Richmond Ballet and attended summer sessions with Boston Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and the contemporary and ballet programs at The School at Jacobs Pillow, among others. Renforth received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance, cum laude, in 2014 from Butler University. Following his graduation, Renforth received a contract as a company member with Grand Rapids Ballet in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he danced for the past three seasons performing many featured roles. Renforth has performed works by choreographers such as George Balanchine, Nacho Duato, and  Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. He has also been involved in creations by Penny Saunders, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Val Caniparoli, and more. This is Renforth’s first season with Cincinnati Ballet.

“Outside the studio, I spend my time honing my gluten free culinary skills, discovering coffee roasteries, learning about historical architecture, and traveling the country.”

Touchet will never forget her 19th birthday. That was the day Victoria Morgan came to Pacific Northwest Ballet, to audition Touchet’s professional division. “Directors from everywhere auditioned us, but nobody ever picked me,” she says. “I remember thinking she wouldn’t like me anyway, so I told myself to just have fun, and after it was over, she said, ‘I’d like to talk to Janessa’.” Crossed wires with communicating Touchet’s acceptance of Morgan’s apprenticeship offer led to a planned spot with Memphis Ballet, but Morgan called one last time and Touchet was able to come to Cincinnati Ballet instead. “It was meant to be here. I started as an Apprentice and moved all the way through the ranks. I had always had my heart and mind set on Cincinnati Ballet.”
