At Cincinnati Ballet Dance and Fitness, we provide a variety of dance-inspired workouts to help you meet your fitness goals. Classes in ballet and a unique barre-inspired cardio program are designed to build strength, grace, flexibility, and tone while providing the opportunity to build community with Cincinnati’s preeminent dance institution. Adults 18 and up at all levels are welcome to our drop-in classes at our conveniently located downtown center. Whether you’re a studio pro or a fitness novice, there’s a home for you here. An introductory class
New to ballet or maybe it’s been years since you were in the studio? No matter your experience level, our Ballet Basics class for adults is a great way to strengthen your mind, body and spirit. Start your morning with ballet barre, floor stretches, simple movement and breath work. Work on flexibility, strengthening, sculpting, balance and grace in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Ballet Basics Attire
Ballet Basics students are encouraged to wear any form-fitting clothing they can comfortably move and stretch in, such as a leotard and tights or a fitted top with exercise pants or leggings. Accessories such as skirts and leg warmers are welcome. Ballet shoes are highly recommended. Students who do not yet own ballet shoes are advised to wear socks for class.
For students with a working knowledge of ballet
If you already have an understanding of ballet technique, but aren’t looking for a fast paced advanced class, this is the class for you. This ballet class is taught in a manner that adjusts to the students who take it, so a broad range of ability and experience is welcome. Class structure is based on a traditional ballet technique class.

Open to all levels
A unique blend of body sculpting, barre, circuit training and cardio, the Body Defined workout builds lean strength and muscle definition for students of all levels. Inspired by the lean physique of the ballet body, this class will tone arms and upper body, shape legs, firm seats and sculpt abs.

Body Defined Attire
Body Defined students are encouraged to wear comfortable active wear such as a fitted top with leggings or exercise pants. Students are advised to wear grip socks, ballet shoes, or bare feet (no shoes) as regular socks tend to be slippery during certain exercises.
All Body Defined equipment is provided onsite at the Cincinnati Ballet Center. Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.

DANCEFIX is a 60 minute high-energy dance work out class featuring a warm up, a toning session, and 45 minutes of original choreography by Heather Britt and HBDC teachers. From hip hop to jazz, from latin to lyrical, the choreography is fresh and fun for both new and experienced dancers.
