Meet the Staff
Chief Operating Officer
A recognized leader in the local arts community, Missie Santomo was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2013. After relocating from Pittsburgh with her family in 2004, Santomo fell in love with Cincinnati Ballet when her daughter Ashley enrolled in the Otto M. Budig Academy. First volunteering as a parent coordinator and part-time Academy Assistant, Missie steadily gained experience in all areas of the organization, serving as Box Office Coordinator, Box Office Manager and Finance Assistant. Her curiosity and strong desire to learn all aspects of the administrative side of the organization led her to accept the position of Marketing Director in 2008. During her tenure as head of Marketing, Santomo led her team in achieving record-breaking ticket sales and implementing a highly successful dynamic pricing strategy.
As a respected and de facto leader among the staff, Santomo was promoted to Managing Director in 2010 and later accepted the position of COO in 2013. Under her leadership, Cincinnati Ballet’s fiscal and organizational health has only grown stronger, securing the future of Ballet for generations to come.
Santomo was recognized as an Act Three Honoree in 2012 and was featured in The Women’s Book 2012, recognizing inspiring female business leaders in the community.
