“I started dancing when I was three. I begged my mom to let me take ballet    class with my friends—plus I loved wearing tutus,” says Samantha Nagy-Chow, CBII. Nagy-Chow grew up in Sacramento, California, moving to San Francisco at the age of 15 to train with San Francisco Ballet School. She also graduated in three years from the acclaimed Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music with a B.S. in Ballet and an Outside Field in Education. Nagy-Chow loves to perform in ballets that require large corps de ballet, naming Swan Lake and Giselle, and says “it’s an incredible feeling to all be dancing in sync”. Not surprisingly, Nagy-Chow is looking forward to the rehearsal process for Cincinnati Ballet’s upcoming Swan Lake and Symphony in C. “I feel that working in incredible corps de ballets like that creates a great sense of camaraderie between dancers. It’s important to me to feel like a team when we get on stage so we can all share energy, which helps and is more fun!” she says.
Fun Fact: Sami’s favorite tv shows are Game of Thrones and Grey’s Anatomy.
