“I decided I wanted to start dancing at the age of 4, after being completely taken away by the ballet piece from a friend’s recital,” says Kelsey Bevington, 19. A Trainee this fall, Bevington trained with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Washington. “My happiest moments experienced are always the performances when I know I have touched or blessed another in a special and personal way.  I also count the time, about a year ago, when my desire to dance turned into ‘I have to dance’,” she says. A Balanchine fan, Bevington enjoys the classics of ballet, naming Swan Lake as a long-time favorite. Bevington is a vegetarian, and would like to acknowledge her favorite Bible verse, Colossians 3:17. “I am excited for all the many opportunities and experiences I will have working and performing with the company, as well as all the outreach programs Cincinnati Ballet has to offer. It is a very unique group of people with so much to offer and I feel this environment is going to push me and help me become the dancer I know I can be,” she says of her season this year with Cincinnati Ballet.
Fun Fact: Kelsey is a vegetarian, and her favorite food is Thai food.
