"Cincinnati Ballet is one of just six ballet companies of its size nationwide that still has a live orchestra in its pit."  - The Cincinnati Enquirer

With the amazing gift granted to Cincinnati Ballet by the Louise Dieterle Nippert Musical Arts Fund, live music is guaranteed for three of our six productions, with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra serving as primary performing orchestra for those productions. Cincinnati Ballet, however, must still provide funds to cover live music costs for the other three productions in the 2012-2013 Season, an estimated $113,500.

Live music for our production of this season's Prodigal Son could even be endangered.  If we are unable to raise enough funds toward our total financial goal, this production could suffer with no live orchestra.

Live music gives special energy to our amazing performances, and is a true gauge of a healthy ballet company on a national level. You have greatly assisted in making live music possible in the past. Please help us to continue this tradition into the future.
