AVAILABLE POSITIONS
 
Duties Include: Shop and deliver lunch items three times per week and additionally as needed for all Summer Intensive students on lunch plan using the company van or, if necessary, a personal vehicle (with reimbursement). Shopper duties include, but are not limited to, replenishing condiments, fruits, vegetables, snack foods, bread, lunch meat and drink crates. Lunch Shopper may also occasionally collect and retrieve take-out orders from students. Cincinnati Ballet Academy will provide detailed shopping lists, Sam’s Club membership and shopping card. Must deliver detailed receipts.
Rate: $30/trip service credits toward tuition plus free lunch daily
 
 
Duties Include: sets buffet table at 11:45 am every day for each week of duty. Must wear hair back and diligently wash hands with soap and warm water for one minute prior to shift and must wear food-serving gloves. Lunch set-up includes washing, cutting, preparing and placing fruit and vegetables in serving dishes as well as salad; filling ice bowl with ice; attractively arranging lunch buffet and drinks. Monitor stock of buffet items and recording items running out/perishing on running list for Shopper.
Rate: $80/week service credits toward tuition plus free lunch daily
 
Duties: removes perishable food items from buffet table at 2 pm every day for each week of duty. Must wear hair back and diligently wash hands with soap and warm water for three minutes prior to shift and must wear food-serving gloves. Store all re-servable items in appropriate, airtight containers. Clear and wipe buffet table. Wash, dry and store serving trays. Monitor stock of buffet items and recording items running out/perishing on running list for Shopper.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Greeting parents and students of the Academy;
  • Answering questions and providing general guidance;
  • Answering telephone and being able to provide directions and answers to basic questions;
  • Taking payments and selling passes for Adult Classes;
  • Selling tights, leotards and ballet shoes;
  • Ensuring teachers, receptionists and teacher helpers sign in at the desk;
  • Reporting facility, schedule or customer care problems to Academy Administration;
  • Support for customers in case of facility or personal emergency.
  • Certain limited administrative tasks as agreed upon with Academy Registrar, Director of Academy Operations or Dean.
 
Rate: $20/hour service credits toward tuition
Move in Days: June 16, 23, 30
Move out Days: June 29, July 6, 19 and 20
 
Represents Cincinnati Ballet Academy during move-in/move-out.
Move-in day duties:
  • Help families carry students’ personal possessions using carts and dollies
  • Guide families to their appointed rooms
  • Check names and emergency contact information on a sheet
  • Give accurate directions to surrounding areas.
  • Notify Academy staff about any problems and concerns
Move-out day duties
  • Assist families in loading personal possessions into vehicles
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness and removal of personal items
  • Record any damage to rooms
  • Ensure all students turn in room keys and bed linens and follow all check-out procedures listed by Xavier and Cincinnati Ballet
  • Check names and emergency contact information on a sheet
  • Give accurate directions to surrounding areas.
  • Notify Academy staff about any problems and concerns


Resident Assistant- No longer accepting applications

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • This position is ideal for a student who is 18-25 years old who wishes to attend the Summer Intensive Program for the full 5 weeks.  However, applications will be accepted for those students wishing to attend for the 2, 3 or 4 week program as we are in need of Resident Assistants at all times
  • Create and maintain a safe and nurturing residential environment for students
  • Must adhere to all Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy and Xavier University policies and schedules.
  • Transport students in Cincinnati Ballet vehicle and/or own personal vehicle to and from specific destinations and the Cincinnati Ballet location as needed during scheduled work hours. Proof of Resident Advisor’s driver insurance is required.
  • Accompany students to all meals/events during scheduled work time. No student under the age of 18 y.o. can remain unsupervised at any time.
  • Establish a daily routine for the students in consultation with the Dorm Advisor and the Operations Manager. Institute engaging, informal activities for the students during evening hours. Be reasonably accommodating to students’ activity requests, while exercising mature judgment.
  • Communicate all problems that arise and cannot be handled by the Resident Advisor to the Dorm Advisor in a timely manner.
  • Finding a substitute Resident Advisor is the Resident Advisor’s responsibility, unless in the event of a documented serious illness or injury to one’s self or immediate family.

Rate: $50 per week and housing and meals paid

Dorm Advisor- No longer accepting applications

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • This position is ideal for a parent of a student (or adult ages 25 and older) who is able to remain on campus at Xavier University and at the Cincinnati Ballet facility for the full 5 weeks.  However, applications will be accepted for those parents/adults who are able to commit to 2-3 weeks of the Summer Intensive.
  • Create and maintain a safe and nurturing residential environment for students
  • Must adhere to all Cincinnati Ballet Otto M. Budig Academy and University of Cincinnati policies and schedules.
  • MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
  • Transport students in Cincinnati Ballet vehicle and/or own personal vehicle to and from specific destinations and the Cincinnati Ballet location as needed during scheduled work hours. Proof of Dorm Advisor’s driver insurance is required.
  • Duties also include, light administrative work, returning phone calls, assisting with transportation to and from the airport, working as the front desk receptionist, helping with lunch shopping, set up and clean up, chaperoning weekend events, assisting with move in and move out, overseeing the activities of up to 50 students in the dorms.
  • Communicate all problems that arise and cannot be handled by the Dorm Advisor to the Operations Manager in a timely manner.
  • Rate: Housing paid for the student and parent.  If applicant is an adult not attending the Intensive, housing paid and negotiable stipend for the 5 week program

Adult Weekend Chaperone

Duties Include:

  • Accompanying students on weekend outings. 
  • Responsible for possession and distribution of per diem for student lunches if they are out during meal hours. 
  • Responsible for possession and distribution of tickets information to students. 
  • Be emergency contact for students during the outing and ensure all students arrive safely to their destination.   
Rate: $20 per hour. Parent Chaperone must provide their own over night accommodations if necessary
