Do I need a headshot, photograph or resume?
Yes, please bring a headshot and photo of first arabesque to the audition or mail in with your video. No resume required.
What classes do students take?
Summer Intensive dancers take Ballet Technique, Pointe or Men's courses, as well as Jazz, Modern, Dance for Fitness and Pilates.
What is the housing like?
Students reside in the newest residence hall on University of Cincinnati's campus, the Campus Recreation Center Housing.
What else does housing include?
- Private bedroom suites and a bathroom shared with just one other person
- For a very small additional fee, access to UC's Campus Recreation Center, where they can swim, lounge in the hot tub, walk on the track or climb the climbing wall.
- Each suite has Internet access -- please bring an ethernet cable!
- Transportation to and from campus.
- The opportunity to participate in cultural and recreational activities, such as Opera, Broadway musicals, amusement parks, museums and shopping.
- Resident assistants and parent / staff chaperones are with students 24/7 and during activities.
When will I find out if I'm accepted?
Cincinnati Ballet Academy will notify each student of regarding acceptance within 2-4 weeks following in-person audition or review of a video audition. To secure your place in the program, please forward a completed registration form and non-refundable $250 tuition deposit as early as possible. Faculty determines placement in a placement class on the first day of the program.
Housing Reservations: Housing requests must be indicated on the registration form and be accompanied by a non-refundable $250 housing deposit. Housing fee includes room and board as well as transportation to the Cincinnati Ballet on weekdays. Housing requested without a deposit will not be processed.
