CINCINNATI BALLET OTTO M. BUDIG ACADEMY, the region’s only pre-professional training program, combines superior instruction, unparalleled performance opportunities and a strong connection to Cincinnati Ballet. Downtown classes are held in the state-of-the-art studios where Cincinnati Ballet Company dancers rehearse. Ballet students frequently interact with company dancers, gaining insight into the life of a professional dancer.

Performance is central to the Academy program. Each student performs works of classical and contemporary repertoire at the Aronoff Center for the Arts and Mickey Jarson Kaplan Studios at the Cincinnati Ballet Center. Students also enjoy priority casting for Frisch’s Presents The Nutcracker and exclusive opportunities for age-appropriate roles in professional productions with the Cincinnati Ballet.

Academy faculty and the dean periodically conduct individual student evaluations to measure student progress. This encourages growth and improvement as students advance through the program.
